About Children’s Cancer
Every month there are 86 children diagnosed with cancer in Australia and each month 12 of them will die of cancer. Of those who do survive, two-thirds will have long term treatment side effects. Children’s Cancer Institute exists solely to put an end to childhood cancer through research. We don't just hope to do it. We will do it. Introducing Carys
Carys was a bright and active little girl, happy to try anything. But she very nearly didn’t make it to 7 years of age.
She was diagnosed with leukaemia and her and her entire families lives were turned upside down.

Introducing Nixon
Nixon was born with a tumour the size of a fist on his head. Barely one week old, he underwent a five-hour operation to biopsy the tumour.
An agonising week went by before his parents Brodie and Nick received the devastating news that their baby boy had cancer. It was an extremely rare and aggressive tumour. Nixon needed to start chemotherapy straight away.
Nixon is doing well now, but he’s not out of the woods yet. The truth is, if Nixon relapses, his chances of survival significantly decrease. That’s why our research, and your help, are so vital.
Introducing Mackenzie
Life was great for the Isedale family. They were always going away on little holidays down in Nowra, fishing, swimming and laughing.
Until that horrible day when Mackenzie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
