Emeritus Professor Richard Henry works as a consultant in Health and Higher Education. He had a long career in academic medicine and hospital paediatrics before his appointment as Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University of New South Wales from 2006-2012. He is a Pro-Chancellor of UNSW, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sydney Grammar School and a Director of Legal Aid NSW and Paediatrio. He was Chair of the Centre for Social Impact from 2013 to 2018. He was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2007 for service to paediatric respiratory medicine as a clinician, researcher, educator and mentor, and serving in a range of roles with professional medical organisations. Emeritus Professor Henry is a member of the Audit and Risk Management Subcommittee, the Scientific Advisory Committee and the Strategic Facilities Planning Subcommittee.
