September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time when we honour all children with cancer – past and present – and acknowledge the enormous impact childhood cancer has in our communities, our country, and our world.
But cancer cuts life short for hundreds of children every year, before they’ve even had a chance to make their mark. Here in Australia, we have more than 1000 children and adolescents being diagnosed with cancer every single year. And every week, three young lives will be lost to the disease.
Everything we do at Children’s Cancer Institute is about helping more kids with cancer not only survive, but go on to live long, healthy lives
This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to help raise awareness of the devastating impact of childhood cancer and to support pioneering research that will create safer and more effective treatments.
Throughout the month, we’re asking all Australians to show their appreciation for every precious year they have been given, by donating their age.
This year you can show your support this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by:
- Sharing our resources listed below and raise awareness of childhood cancer and our vital research to your networks!
- Donate Your Age and show your appreciation for every year you've been lucky to have lived.
- Follow our social media channels and share and like our content throughout #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth!
Your support helps raise incredibly valuable funds and awareness for our work to find safer and more effective treatments for children with cancer.
We can and we will cure every child of cancer. It's not if, it's when.
