The Butterfly Ball is Live for Lily’s annual signature black-tie gala ball organised in memory of Lily Hester. 

Lily was just eight years old when she was diagnosed with an extremely rare liver cancer. She endured over 6 months of chemotherapy, 6 operations, radiation, amongst other scans, tests and many hospital visits. In January 2014, Lily did go into remission but sadly after another scan in March 2014, she received the devastating news that her cancer was terminal. Brave Lily sadly passed away on 11th August 2014 after a hard and brave battle.

Live for Lily Foundation was established to honour Lily and with the hope of finding a cure for childhood cancer. The Foundation has raised over $1.6million for Children’s Cancer Institute.
