Event description
Run2Cure Neuroblastoma is a fun run organised by Neuroblastoma Australia. Held annually in The Domain, Sydney, it is the charity’s largest fundraising event for research into the aggressive childhood cancer neuroblastoma.
By getting involved in Run2Cure, you will be helping to fund critical research that will improve treatments so that they are less toxic for kids little bodies.
The event is open to everyone and every year, supporters come together to take part in the 1km Little Heroes Walk, 1km Dash, 3km, 5km or 10km runs.
Neuroblastoma Australia was started in 2008 when Lucy Jones started fundraising after her little baby girl, Sienna, was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma. Tragically, at just two and half years old, Sienna lost her battle to neuroblastoma. In 2010, Michaela Flanagan who also had a little baby girl, Ciara, diagnosed with neuroblastoma, joined Lucy. Ciara is a survivor – and this represents the sad reality of neuroblastoma that only half of the children diagnosed survive.
