This year, I am participating in the City2Surf 14km run to help raise awareness and funding for the Children's Cancer Institute.

This is a very special cause as I am honoring my dear colleague's beloved son - Odhran, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 14, after two and half years battle with a rare form of children's cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma.

I have never had the privilege of knowing Odhran, but from what I have read about him and from getting to know my colleague Simon, Odhran's father since I started my new role at the end of last year, I have gotten a pretty good idea of what Odhran would have been like as a person - kind, positive and incredibly strong. I am heartbroken for what Odhran had to go through and for the pain that his loving family has to endure. No child should have cancer, and no child with cancer should be left behind. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow and flourish in life.

This is why I invite you to help making a donation through my page. My goal is to raise $500, but any amount would be greatly appreciated no matter how large or small.
