But sadly, cancer cuts life short for hundreds of children every year, before they’ve even had a chance to make their mark.

For 40 years, we have been conducting research into the causes, prevention and cure of childhood cancer. In the 1960s cancer was practically a death sentence in children, today, more than eight out of 10 children survive. But we wont stop until every child can live a long, happy and healthy life.

Together we can and we will cure every child of cancer. It's not if, it's when.

Worldwide, about 400,000 new cases of cancer are diagnosed each year in children and adolescents.

Cancer kills three children every week in Australia – more than any other disease.

70% of children who survive cancer suffer long-term side effects from their treatment.

Zero Childhood Cancer

Over 2000 children have now been enrolled on the Zero Childhood Cancer Program and the results show that this precision medicine approach can radically change clinical outcomes.

But ZERO’s impact extends well beyond the lives of children enrolled on the Program. It is changing the whole way childhood cancer is viewed, with implications for children in any country, now and in the future.
