In 2014, Children’s Cancer Institute celebrated 30 years since it first opened its laboratories. Build for a Cure was created by key partners to recognise this momentous event, coming together to build a house in Glenmore Park, Western Sydney.

This beautiful 4-bedroom home was built with love in just 21 days. Every aspect of the project was donated including the building materials, labour, home furnishings, kitchen and laundry appliances, home entertainment systems – even the real estate campaign and auction. On auction day, the home built with love was sold for $738,000 and all proceeds went to Children’s Cancer Institute. Since then the Build for a Cure partners have built a further 4 homes in Teralba (Newcastle), Appin (Greater Western Sydney) and Medowie (Newcastle).

Children’s Cancer Institute and our Build for a Cure Partners look forward to announcing another exciting campaign in 2021 currently planned for Mulgoa Sanctuary with McDonald Jones Homes and Mulgoa Quarries.
